CIOS framework

CIOS is a Perl Framework that allows external standalone applications and web platforms to easily access CorneliOS core technologies. CIOS is part of the CorneliOS WebOS and application framework, thus it's available as free Open Source software under the GNU General Public Lisense.

History

CIOS has been launched on September 14, 2009, along with CorneliOS 0.9.9r14. The initial goal was to reduce the amount of code and time required to build future software platforms. During the following months all of my CorneliOS based software projects have been moved to CIOS.

In mid 2010 the community layer and the app engine were added to the CIOS framework, which then served as basis for Galaxiki 2.0. The community layer also offers a large number of social networking features.

CIOS has also been used to build the Joopita IBS and the Morzino education platform, and it will be used to realize some more projects soon.
